Havens custom manufacturing process allows homeowners completely customize and replace sinks of any shape, size, or style.
The top mount sink is the most cost effective and ergonomically beneficial option to replacing a failed sink with ANY existing granite or stone countertops. Selecting an odd shaped sink puts homeowners in a difficult situation, because if the sink fails one day the entire kitchen is built around the sink (countertops & cabinetry).
At Havens, this is a situation we encounter on a regular basis from homeowners who have been let down by brands that sell cheaply made imported sinks.
Since 1999, Havens has built custom top mount sinks which save money, increase functionality, and provide a unique visual aspect to the kitchen space.
The primary reason to install a drop in sink is ultimately replacing a failed or outdated sink. Topmounts are more cost effective than installing new granite countertops or replacing cabinets. The most common designs including farmhouse sinks, drainboard sinks, and drop in sinks with an integrated backsplash.
As the leading American custom sink manufacturer, often times we're asked a question along the lines of...
"If I give you specifications of my existing sink, can you make a new sink in the same exact shape?"
The answer to this question is yes, but it can be a costly option. Making a sink with rounded corners and an irregularly shaped bowl is significantly more labor intensive, thus resulting in a higher cost on the build. The best option in this situation is to drop in a new sink overtop of your existing countertop cutout.
5 Great Reasons to Install a Custom Top Mount Sink:
- A Havens sink is very easy to maintain. Installing a drop in sink with square corners will not prove any extra maintenance for the homeowner. The misconception that rectangular sinks with square corners are difficult to maintain does not apply here. Our American made sinks can easily be cleaned with a soapy sponge.
- A rectangular drop in sink provides the option of integrating an interior ledge into the basin of your sink. This ledge allows for interchangeable sink accessories, increasing prep functionality and reducing clean up time. Centralizing your food prep turns the sink into a highly versatile and easy to clean workstation.
- Additional features such as a rear deck, built in drain board, and backsplash can all be seamlessly integrated to the design of your copper or stainless steel drop in kitchen sink. We've replaced hundreds of obsolete kitchen sinks with one of our beautiful topmounts, custom made to the needs and likes of your household.
- Often times, homeowners are given a set list of options to choose from in the kitchen design process. A drop in sink puts you in control with different options and features, allowing a work around for other kitchen features that don't allow as much flexibility. An example here would be to retrofit over existing cabinetry.
Installing a new kitchen sink doesn't mean you have to reinvent the wheel. Countertops, cabinetry, faucet location, and space can all be preserved with the simple solution of a topmount sink. Cost effective, aesthetically pleasing, and highly functional, Havens drop in sinks are among the most prestigious designs available.

Top mount farmhouse sinks with an apron front present different installation options, to integrate to your existing kitchen countertops and cabinetry. The most common situation is to retrofit your new sink over the existing front cabinetry, allowing for easy install and support. The self rimming perimeter flange will support the majority of the sink's weight, however the apron front will also need support. If you prefer to drop in your top mount sink over granite and you have front cabinetry, the false doors on the front can be removed for the apron front to be retrofitted. If this option is preferred, a channel will be made in the apron approximately 1"-1.5" wide to allow the sink to drop in over top of the cabinetry.
